League Rules

LEAGUE RULES

All bowlers in this league will abide by the printed rule book if not covered in these league rules. The league will be sanctioned. All bowlers rolling over averages from the prior season will pay lineage and prize fund even if they do not attend first league dates.

SANCTION FEE

$30 PER BOWLER - $150 Per Team. ($780 for the season) per bowler.

COLLECTION OF LEAGUE FEES FROM BOWLERS

Payment will be collected at your table.  Debit or Credit Card only will be accepted.  You may pay for advanced weeks.  If you know you will be gone for the following week, you are welcome to pay in advance.  League fees will be held by the Concourse.

FEE SHORTAGES

 SHORTAGES in this League from bowlers or teams dropping out of the League will be assumed by the League, and the prize fund charged unless bowlers are replaced.  Any individual or team replacing dropped bowlers will assume their shortages, wins, and positions. A team, however, may assume the spot if it cannot be filled by paying the prize fund ($12) weekly. Any team or individual dropping out of the League must have a two-week PAID notice to the league secretary. 

 

LEGAL LINEUP

LEAGUE LINE-UP: By the start of the league bowling at 6:15 p.m., the legal lineup shall consist of 2 regular bowlers present.  If a team has a vacancy, a legal lineup will still consist of 2 regular members. Roving substitutes do not count unless a sixth bowler is used. However, permanent substitutes may only bowl for that designated team for any given week.  Odd lane is responsible for keeping score and turning in recap to the front desk.

 

ODD NUMBER OF TEAMS: The team bowling against the missing team must beat the team average minus 50 SCRATCH PLUS ONE PIN to win.  This is the same rule for any forfeit situations.

ABSENTEES

ABSENTEES:  Blind score for incomplete teams at any time will be vacancy score of 175 AND NO HANDICAP. Absentee’s score during the season will be the regular bowler’s current average minus 10. The absent bowler’s average must consist of at least three games established in this League; otherwise, use the vacancy scoreThe average of subs may not be used for an absent score.  No absentee’s score shall be used for more than three consecutive weeks or at any time thereafter unless the bowler has returned and bowled three or more games with his team.

ROVING SUBS

ROVING SUBS will be allowed.  The regular bowler is responsible for league fees if a sub bowls.  Subs may be either sex, as long as one female or male is present. Late bowlers will not be allowed to make up missed frames.  They will receive 10% of their blind score for each frame missed and may start by the end of 3rd frame.  AVERAGE for handicap based on a minimum of three games bowled in this League. Permanent subs or 6th bowlers will be allowed toward the legal lineup. They must have at least 9 games to bowl position round. If a vacancy exists, a roving sub can bowl for that spot but must pay the full fee for bowling. ALL SUBS MUST BE SANCTIONED. NO NEW SUBS THE LAST THREE WEEKS OF BQWLING STARTING AUGUST 25. 2025.

Roving subs are not allowed the last two Tuesdays before the position week if the roving sub doesn’t have at least 9 games. Voted in 03/18/2025

POSTPONEMENTS

POSTPONEMENTS: The captain of the team must notify a league officer within 10 hours (8am) of a scheduled game unless there is an emergency. As a courtesy, please notify the opposing team captain of the postponement. Bowling unopposed will be allowed. All games must be bowled WITHIN TWO WEEKS of the scheduled make-up to midnight.  All make-up games must be bowled 72 hours before a position round, regardless of the time rules stated above.  Pre bowls and make-up games scores are allowed to be seen after the opposing team has completed all three games—no Individual make-ups. NO MAKE-UPS OR PRE-BOWLS ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY EVENING.  Please schedule Make-Ups or Pre-Bowls with Peter at events@concoursebowling.com. No walk-ins allowed.

POSITION ROUND

POSITION ROUND: Prepayment of $30 will be due on January 13, 2026.  No new bowlers or roving subs on any position round.  No Make-Ups or Pre-Bowls for position round.  All make-ups must be completed 72 hours before any scheduled position round. In the event of a tie, each team will be considered co-champions.

AWARDS

First place will receive trophies. High scratch game (men and women), high scratch series (men and women), high handicap game (men and women), and high handicap series (men and women) will receive awards.

SWEEPS

SWEEPS:  Will be on March 21, 2026 at South Point Hotel and Casino at noon. Prepayment of $30 will be due on February 10, 2026.  No new bowlers on sweeps.  No pre-bowls for sweeps. All bowlers, roving subs and permanent subs must have 21 games to qualify for sweeps in Vegas.  The team event will pay out all 24 teams. Singles will be paid out to the top 5 men and top 5 women.

 

VEGAS LANES

VEGAS LANES: You may choose the team you want to bowl against in Las Vegas. Both teams must agree they want to bowl against each other. Lanes will be picked randomly. Teams will not select where they want to bowl, i.e., the middle of the lanes, the beginning, and so on. If there’s an odd team, last place will play against the vacant team.

ROOMS IN VEGAS

ROOMS IN VEGAS: Bowlers will be responsible for booking their rooms in Vegas.  During the season, you will be given a code that will allow you to book your reservation.  Friends and family may book their own rooms, or you may do it for them.  All reservations will be due by  . Rates for Friday and Saturday are $115 plus tax, $22 resort fee.  Rates for Thursday and Sunday are $65 plus tax, $22 resort fee. All Bowlers will receive a $130 travel credit at the end of the season.

CONCOURSE BOWLIING EQUIPMENT

EQUIPMENT: Any bowler deliberately kicking or hitting the ball return, bowling from the settee area, intentionally dropping the ball on the approach, etc., will lose all earned pin count for the entire frame and previous frame associated count.  On the second offense, the bowler must leave the lanes.

CHILDREN OR GUEST

CHILDREN: Parents will be responsible for the conduct of all the children in all areas.  No children or guests will be permitted in the bowler’s settee area.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK

OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINK: No outside food or drink is allowed; the exception is dessert items.
